Many DFW homes built in the 1980s and 1990s still have wallpaper in kitchens, baths and dining rooms. Some of it peels off in big sheets. Some of it was hung right on bare drywall and fights every inch. We have the tools and patience for both.
The glue left behind is the real problem. If you paint over it, the paint will crack and bubble. We wash the walls until all the paste is gone, then seal any torn spots with an oil-based primer so they do not bubble later.
Once the walls are smooth, we can paint them the same day or the next. Most customers bundle wallpaper removal with interior painting so the room is done in one visit.
